Backstory of "Leanin’ on the Bar" A Hidden Gem: This song has a deep personal history that means a lot to me, and I want to share a bit of that story with you.  "Leanin’ on the Bar" was born during a songwriting session in Nashville right in the heart of the COVID era. My buddy Kyle Coulahan and I were both going through some challenging times. Back then, I was still struggling with alcohol, and the idea of "leaning on the bar" was more than just a metaphor. It represented leaning on all sorts of crutches—whether that was a physical bar, a church pew, a music stage, or even just a place to rest when life got heavy. Now that I’m sober, the song has taken on an even deeper significance. It’s a reminder of where I’ve been and a commitment to never go back to those old ways. In a way, I was writing about the journey to sobriety even before I fully realized I was on it. So as you listen, know that "Leanin’ on the Bar" is not just about a place; it’s about leaning on whatever gets you through and finding a way to stand tall without it.    Thanks for being part of this journey and for letting this song be a piece of it.
